About Wild CHild Santa Cruz
Wild Child is an affordable nature-awareness program for kids that seeks to build community through nature immersion, fun, and learning. Founded on a cooperative model, the program is currently being built around input from parents and the individual needs and interests of the children.
Locations in Santa Cruz include Henry Cowell State Park, Wilder Ranch State Park, Big Basin State Park, DeLaveaga Park, Permaculture gardens and a variety of other lovely locations. Locations will be chosen based on the input from the families involved.
We are currently opening a program in the Aptos/Soquel area, with locations coming soon!
Let's explore tide pools, pick Manzanita berries, plant a garden, write in nature journals, build shelters under giant Redwoods, and play team-building games!
Our amazing guides Maya, Naali, Lindsay and Catkin have a deep connection with nature, first aid certification, and years of experience working with kids in wild places. You can find out more about them here.
